Kasey Johnson

Assistant Teacher (she/her)

Kasey came to Park West in March 2024 as an inclusion aid in the 3-Day classroom. While observing the other teachers, she was inspired by the way the teachers valued and respected every child’s voice. Kasey was drawn to the deep sense of community at Park West and loved the close relationship teachers and families have with each other. After working in various National Parks and teaching gardening to preschoolers, she brings a deep appreciation of nature to the classroom. She believes children’s connection with nature has a profound impact on their wellbeing, and allows them to feel connected not only to the outdoors but to their community. She is thrilled to be assistant teaching in the JK classroom this year as well the Tots class. The opportunity to engage in play and help empower young children to find their own voice excites her for the upcoming year! In her free time, she enjoys gardening, going to concerts and riding her bike along Lake Shore.
