Remote learning after Holiday Break

Due to the current travel restrictions in Chicago, we would like to offer a week of remote learning to those families that choose to travel during winter break. This opportunity will run from Monday, January 3rd - Friday January 7th. In this remote learning class, children from all classes will participate together with an experienced Park West teacher. Class content will be designed to reflect the developmental levels of the children enrolled as well as in-person classroom curriculum. Each 30-40 minute zoom session will include familiar park west songs, conversational prompts for children and an engaging read-aloud. Families will be provided with an at-home activity kit and weekly activity ideas to enrich children’s play and learning experiences for the duration of the remote class.
This class will meet at the following times during the week of January 3rd:
Tuesday, January 4 at 12:30
Wednesday, January 5 at 12:30
Thursday, January 6 at 12:30
To register for this class, please email remote@parkwestcoop.org with your child’s name and class. An invitation, zoom link and suggested materials will be emailed to you prior to the first class. If you know your family plans to travel and would like to receive an at-home learning kit, please register before Monday, December 13. If you do not register prior to December 13, you may still join the class, but will not receive a take-home kit with materials to explore at home. To participate in the zoom class only, please register by end of day Monday, January 3. Please note that we will still be holding our in-person classes as scheduled for all students that have not traveled to orange states or internationally.
