Hello fellow Co-Op families! My name is Starrin Kinser-Petersen and I am the President of the Park West Co-Op Board. I am honored to be serving the second of my two year term as President and also finishing my time as a parent at Park West. This is my 6th year of having the extraordinary opportunity to walk one of my children through the doors of school and learn amongst our expert teachers and all of you. My daughter, Wrenna, is in the JK East classroom and we are excited to finish our term at Park West with the opportunity to experience a school year in which we can offer families the robust educational, social and community programs that have been a part of school’s rich history.
You will hear more from me at the Fall General Meeting on Wednesday, September 14th. I look forward to meeting so many of our new families. You will have the opportunity to dig into some of that Co-Op Committee work that is so important to making Park West the outstanding school it is today. But, until then, I encourage you to embrace all the opportunities Park West has to offer to be a part of this community. Don’t be afraid to pull up a chair and squish that play-doh or get a little dirty at the sand table and maybe even a little sweaty in the gym on your assist day! My oldest two children are currently in 5th and 3rd grade and I still treasure that time in the classroom with them as we learned side by side with our Co-Op community.
