This resource has links to dates for many different school options, both public and private. CPS also will list dates HERE and some independent schools will list dates HERE.

CPS Applications for Kindergarten through 9th grades are open until 11/15/24. (CPS is updating their content to reflect the latest info for applications to 2025-2026 programs, but check back often for helpful CPS Elementary Resources, informative GoCPS videos, and a list of CPS elementary programs.) Preschool applications for CPS & Chicago Early Learning PK3 & PK4 programs open in the Spring. Private school application deadlines vary, from early November to rolling. Remember to always apply one year (or a half year for CPS PK) before a program begins, and your neighborhood K-12 school never has a deadline.

Park West grade school fair

The Park West Grade School Fair features more than 30 public and private schools, with admission representatives and alum parents all under one roof. This is a great opportunity for our community to discover all that Chicago schools have to offer your children. You will be able to chat one-on-one with an admissions representative or a Park West alumni parent about their schools.
